there was a time when I used to absolutely positively love red wine. It was the best thing in the world, the bee all and end all to all my alcohol related conquests. But I still can never call myself a wine connersuir. What makes the particular red wine the superior of another?
The Aussies would say their wine beats all, the French would definitely say that is also the case. How do we know which wine is truly the finest?
what’s the key ingredient in winegrapes of course! They alone determine the quality from the onset, however the other additives also play an important role, in creating the deep blood red liquid, or light watery texture if the wine is cheap cheap!
Although lately I have started to go off red wine, it all started when I was enjoying a nice glass of merlot, with my meal, and my chair got knocked by the waiter, thus resulting in the spillage of albeit only a few drops, but the damage was done.
My new skinny white jeans were ruined. Ranting and raving like a lunatic, I was adamant that the restaurant/waiter should pay for my dry cleaning or a new pair of jeans. Just as I expected, I got neither. The offered to give me my meal for free, so I proceeded to order all the expensive items for my dinner, complete with desserts and another 2 bottles of red wine.
After my second I didn’t even care that my jeans were ruined, in fact I came to the conclusion, one shouldn’t wear white jeansnot only when drinking red wine, but actually ever after labor day!
That night ended in a very strange manner, I don’t remember leaving the place, or how I got home! I reckon my date ran off after I kicked off about my jeans and top! But then again, they weren’t very exciting, so my outfit is still my main concern!
I did go back to where the wine throwing took place, just to pass on my apologizes for being so rude about what was really just a freak accident. I then had to learn what happened to me last night after my free bottles of wine. I had been sick into the fountain outside the restaurant and my date has indeed legged it!
red wine brings out the devil in me. I have decided to take a break from such excess drinking, and will experiment with the various forms of liquors available, although I will stick to the one form throughout the night, I have learnt the hard way, the effects of mixing!
