So many people have drab bathroom decorations when they spend good money keeping the rest of their homes looking nice; times have moved on and it is now possible to have a very nicely decorated bathroom you can be proud of. There are some wonderful bathroom decorating ideas out there and although it may be a functioning room, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be a pleasant place to be. If you are taking a bath why not surround yourself with pleasing designs where you can relax and unwind.

It is often a good showing point for your ideas when your friends come around to see how you have used your bathroom decorating ideas. This will prove you take pride in your home. Over recent years, great emphasis has been placed on redesigning bedrooms and kitchens as the time spent in these rooms has increased, this is now becoming the same with bathrooms.

If you are stuck for bathroom decorating ideas then why not use some that you have used elsewhere in your home and when you think about it this makes perfect sense. For example, if a nice low table looks good in the hallway, it will look positively elegant in the bathroom. You can also use it for magazines and books to give your restroom that special touch that really makes life a little better.

Similarly, you can apply your ideas to the rest of your house if you haven’t already decided on a theme. Tiles are a prime example of this type of reverse decoration as they can be used almost anywhere and are not restricted to just a few rooms where they are traditionally found.

Often kitchens are tiled in plain white and can look a little bland, so why not try a different color, like the one you have used in the bathroom. Whilst it is the tiling aspect that tends to dominate kitchens and bathrooms, there are many other bathroom decorating ideas that can be used.

Simple things that often get overlooked but can be visually appealing are soap dispensers and soap dishes. There are even articles in home decoration books and magazine illustrating how easy it is too make your own soap rays.

There was even a suggestion of how to make them with clay which is not a material that would automatically spring to mind but does provide certain flexibility. It is also a good idea to have a pleasant relaxing picture and something this simple can really set off a room and won’t cost the earth. Whatever you do, don’t allow the bathroom to become bland when it has so much potential to please the eye.
