The Gazania Daybreak Bright Orange, ‘Gazania splendens’, are early to flower and the compact 8 inch tall plants produce flowers with dark-ringed centers. The blooms open with the sun, and stay open longer than most varieties. The Daybreak Bright Orange was a Fleuroselect Gold Medal Winner. The daisy like flowers are very colorful.Plant them in well drained soils or in pots. Gazanias are sun worshippers, and they close up at night and on very cloudy days. Use in mass plantings, ground covers, edging, bedding, and containers.
