The Hosta Fire and Ice, ‘Hosta fortunei’, has heart shaped leaves with white centers and dark green margins. The lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, HostaÝs are not known for their flowers. With a plant height of 20ö and a spread of 30ö, HostaÝs provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta æFire and IceÝ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
