The Hosta Big Daddy, Hosta ‘Big Daddy’, is a large selection that has huge, frosty blue leaves that are cupped and heavily quilted. The pale lavender flowers come on in July, however, Hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Big Daddy is no exception. Hosta Big Daddy needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained spot and has good slug resistance. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
