Pink Buttercups
Pink Buttercups
The Pink Buttercups, ‘Oxalis adenophylla’, a fall planted bulb, forms thick carpets of bright, deep pink flowers. The flowers are not the only attractive part of the plant. The finely incised greenish-gray leaves only add to Oxalis adenophylla’s beauty. Oxalis adenophylla originates from Chili and Argentina where it grows high up in the mountains. This plant is also known as Chilean Wood Sorrel, Silver Shamrock, Pink Carpet Oxalis, Pink Sauerklee, and Sandoxalis. They prefer well drained soils. They do not winter well in wet soils.
