The Pansy Purple Rain, ‘Viola x wittrockianais’, is most unique in that it is a mounding, cascading pansy, perfect as a border plant in the landscape or ideally suited to baskets, planters and window boxes. The dark purple flowers with hints of blue in the center make it an attractive choice for gardeners. The Purple Rain Pansy pansy reachs heights of 12 to 18 inches without a leggy look. This free flowering variety that is ideal for hanging baskets, flower towers, pouches, and groundcovers. It is the most cold tolerant pansy available with excellent overwintering capabilities.
