Purple Sensation Iris
Purple Sensation Iris
The Iris ‘Purple Sensation’, ‘Iris hollandica’, a fall planted bulb, is a bright and airy Dutch iris that resembles a bird in flight. Its unmatched presence is an elegant addition to any garden. The exquisite purple flowers rest atop sturdy stems. The sword-like leaves add oft-lacking vertical lines to the garden. Despite their name, these irises never grew wild in the Netherlands. Instead, they are the products of hybridization by a Dutch plant breeding firm. They are deer, rabbit and squirrel resistant. One of the most popular dutch iris varieties.
