The Gomphrena Strawberry Fields, ‘Gomphrena haageana’, will delight you with it’s vivid, striking red flower clusters. It is a native of Texas and Mexico so they are recommended for areas with hot and humid summers. Strawberry fields has 3/4 inch wide, round, papery. lover-like flower heads. They bloom from summer into early fall. They do not require any special care and are fairly drought tolerant. Plant in the spring after the last average frost date. They make excellent cut and dried flowers.
